10 Jul Starting Point
Welcome to the Project Futurewave blog. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be using this site to share updates and insights with you as we progress through phase two of the project.
Our goal during this phase is to develop the vision of the Futurewave digital platform into a fully functional prototype. Our strategy focuses on three key stages:
- Define: To sharpen the focus of the value proposition and gather the necessary inputs.
- Develop: An 8 week iterative design and development of the prototype with weekly live demos.
- Deliver: User testing of the platform, development of the business model and roadmap for delivery.
Like other breakthrough projects that have gone before us, we’re dealing with an element of uncertainty. We’re clear on the vision for Futurewave and the transformational impact it has the potential to offer but – as with any innovation project – realising this vision and testing its viability will depend on what we uncover along the way, so stay tuned.
Instrumental in this process is the Energy Innovation Centre’s Freddie Tilbrook, who is responsible for translating the Futurewave vision into reality. Having worked in growth and innovation with top management for organisations such as McLaren Applied Technologies, Save the Children and The Cooperative, Freddie is no stranger to delivering complex visions.
Freddie’s role is to lead the teams developing the platform, brand and business case and ensure all project partners have a representative voice. You can expect to hear a lot from Freddie on this blog along with others from the wider team and beyond.
Our aim with this blog is to share our progress, insights and learning with you as we undertake this journey. We hope that you’ll check in with us regularly and add your voice to the project as it evolves so watch this space and remember to follow @WeAreFuturewave or sign up for newsletter updates via the contact page.
